FineToday Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Tetsuo Komori; "FineToday") has acquired RSPO Supply Chain Certification for our headquarters and two production sites (Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture, and Vietnam) as part of our efforts to procure sustainable palm oil.

Palm oil is used in a wide range of products, including processed foods, cosmetics, daily necessities, detergents, and pharmaceuticals. However, it has been pointed out that the palm oil production process can have various negative effects on the environment and local communities, including deforestation and labor issues, and procuring companies are therefore required to maintain high ethical standards*1.
In light of these circumstances, in 2022, FineToday joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)*2, which operates an international certification system for the production and procurement of sustainable palm oil. In 2024, we also became a member of the Japan Sustainable Palm Oil Network (JaSPON)*3. Most recently, to further promote responsible palm oil procurement, we have also acquired RSPO Supply Chain Certification.
The FineToday Group has vowed to "sustainably procure raw materials (mainly palm oil)" as a priority management initiative under the materiality framework "Fine Today & Tomorrow," which outlines key issues to be addressed by 2030. We aim to transition to using exclusively RSPO-certified palm oil by 2030, and to achieve this, we will ensure that all Group sites operate in compliance with RSPO standards.

The Group will continue to fulfill its purpose, namely, to enrich the lives of everyone today and for generations to come, one fine day at a time. It will do this by balancing business activities with the preservation of the global environment to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
