Fine Today Industries Registers as an SDGs Promotion Partner with Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture
Fine Today Industries Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director, CEO: Hiroto Morozumi; hereinafter “FTI”) has been certified under the Kuki City SDGs Promotion Partner Registration System, established by the city to expand the scope of its efforts toward achieving the SDGs.
In July 2021, Kuki City formulated the Kuki City SDGs Action Policy, with the aim of promoting sustainable urban development based on the principles of the SDGs in collaboration with stakeholders. In July 2023, the Kuki City SDGs Promotion Partner Registration System was established to register companies, business operators, organizations, and individuals who endorse the Policy and proactively work to achieve the SDGs in the city.
FTI has been operating in Kuki City for 40 years, ever since the days of its predecessor, the Shiseido Kuki Factory. FTI considers contributing to the sustainable development of the city by reducing the environmental impact of its manufacturing operations and creating a safe and secure work environment to be an important responsibility.
Out of a desire to realize these aspirations and achieve mutual prosperity with the city through effective initiatives, FTI applied for registration as a Kuki City SDGs Promotion Partner, and has now been certified.
The FineToday Group has set “Planet” as a core value in its mid-to-long-term vision “Fine Today & Tomorrow 2030,” and aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 42% and water consumption by 10% by 2030 (both in comparison to 2021).
FTI also makes consistent use of the PDCA cycle, based on ISO 14001 certification, to strengthen its environment-related management system and continuously reduce its environmental impact. By formulating and executing an environmental roadmap to 2030, FTI will aid Kuki City in becoming a “zero-carbon city,” and by extension, contribute to achieving the SDGs.
