In-House Lecture on International Women's Day Held

On March 11, 2022, we held an in-house lecture on International Women's Day as part of our activities to promote diversity and inclusion.

We invited Mari Kogiso, Co-CEO of SDG Impact Japan Inc., to speak. Through her presentation titled "Why is Diversity Important? Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," which covered a wide range of perspectives including examples of customer inclusion, she presented her views on the current status of and challenges facing gender equality, as well as her views as an investor.
Following the presentation, we also held a discussion attended the head of our Sustainability Division and the officer in charge of our human Resources Division. Attendees shared their opinions on the contents of the presentation and discussed specific measures to be implemented both inside and outside the company.
The lecture was attended online in real time by a total of roughly 220 members of our corporate group located in Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea. During the Q&A session, attendees from each country exchanged many opinions and questions on the initiatives, backgrounds, and ideas of each region. According to the post-event survey, roughly 72% of the attendees reported that their awareness of diversity, gender equality, and sustainability had changed, and we feel that the event was successful in improving understanding and awareness among our global employees, who are required to engage in their work with a global perspective.

We will continue to focus on ESG activities aimed at solving gender equality and the many other social issues we face.
